Astrology is the study of celestial bodies, such as stars and planets, their movements and positions, and how they influence humans and the natural world.

It is believed western astrology originated in Mesopotamia and it spread to India in the 3rd millennium bc. It then became the Western astrology we know today during the Greek civilisation.

Each sign is associated with a season, which is allocated to an element: Air, Water, Earth and Fire.

Astronomers divided the 15 zodiac constellations into 12 parts, which are the 12 zodiac signs, corresponding to the 12 months of the Mesopotamian calendar.

Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are water signs. Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are fire signs. Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are air signs, while earth signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.
