Alejandro Garnacho has reached an agreement in principle to join Napoli, reports in the Italian media claim.
Garnacho has fallen down the pecking order at Man Utd under Ruben Amorim.
The Argentina international is wanted by Napoli as a replacement for Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who seems destined for PSG.
According to Calciomercato, Garnacho has agreed a deal that would see him earn less than his current United salary.
However, a key sticking point remains the fact that United are demanding £70m for the 20-year-old.
