The Met Gala has began as the good and great in fashion and Hollywood descend on the famous New York museum to celebrate fashion’s biggest night out.
The world’s most recognisable faces, dressed by the world’s most preeminent designers, will wow in haute couture.
The theme of tonight’s Gala is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion”. The this is also the title of the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, which focuses on finding new ways to display clothing too fragile to be worn again.
The dress code is “The Garden of Time.” It’s inspired by a 1962 short story by J.G. Ballard.
