Keep the container in a sunny spot, such as a windowsill or countertop, and change the water every few days to prevent bacterial growth and ensure the lettuce remains hydrated.

Within days, you’ll begin to see new leaves emerging from the centre of the lettuce stump, signalling the start of the regrowth process. 

As the leaves continue to grow, you can harvest them as needed for salads, sandwiches, and other culinary creations, allowing the plant to continue producing fresh foliage for weeks to come.
