Give Samsung your broken old phone and get the Galaxy S24 half price

If you bought a Samsung Galaxy S24 recently you might be miffed to see the phone has just been heavily discounted by Samsung itself. The excellent Android phone launched at £799 but is currently on sale for £499 until 4 June. A saving of £300 on a flagship phone that is barely four months old is quite unusual.

It looks like May is the month for flagship phone discounts, with the iPhone 15 on sale brand new for £120 less than its RRP at just £679. But snapping up the Galaxy S24 for £499 really is a superb deal, especially when you can buy it directly from Samsung. Almost unbelievably, you can knock this price down to just £399 if you trade in any phone in any condition – even a broken one!

All you have to do is give Samsung the IMEI number of the phone and send it in after you’ve bought the S24 for £399. Samsung provides freepost packaging for this, and your fully discounted price will be honoured as long as they receive it within seven days of purchase.

Amazingly, you can also get the larger S24 Plus or the flagship S24 Ultra at discounted prices. The S24 Plus can be bought for £699, down from £999, while the S24 Ultra is on sale for just £949, also £300 off the RRP of £1,249.

Finally, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 also have £400 off, dropping those folding phones to £649 and £1,349 respectively. You can trade in a broken phone to get £100 all these other models too, so the S24 Plus drops to £599 and the S24 Ultra to £849, with the Z Flip 5 at £849 and the Z Fold 5 at £1,149.

On all Samsung’s phones you can also get an even larger discount by trading in a working phone if it’s listed to provide money off. For example, a working iPhone 12 will give you up to £150 off any of the S24 models.

If you want to snap up Samsung’s latest flagship phones for up to half price, you have until 4 June – that’s a decent length of time for such a generous discount.
