Prince William is preparing to serve as an usher today to his close friend, Hugh Grosvenor’s wedding as Prince Harry is set to miss what has been dubbed the society wedding of the year.

The seventh Duke of Westminster, 33 – crowned Britain’s richest resident under 40 – is marrying his fiance, Olivia Henson, 31, today in a lavish ceremony in Chester, which is tipped to include the crème de la crème of the British aristocracy.

The Bridgerton-like ceremony is set to take place at Chester Cathedral later today.

The Prince of Wales will play an important role in the ceremony as an usher, but it is his son and the Duke’s godson, Prince George, who is likely to attract the most attention.

George’s role is not known yet, but the Mail reported that it will be “prominent”, however with Friday being a schoolday, it is not yet clear whether he will attend.
