Fallout 76 server downtime schedule and early patch notes for big new update | Gaming | Entertainment

There’s good news and bad news for Fallout 76 fans, as Bethesda gets ready to release a brand new update for the popular online action game. The good news is that the imminent update will make various fixes that players have been crying out for, all the while improving overall stability. The bad news, however, is that Bethesda plans to take the game offline on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. The server maintenance means you won’t be able to login and play the game for approximately three hours while Bethesda applies the latest fixes.

The news was announced by Bethesda Support on X, alongside a sneak preview about what fans can expect.

“On Tuesday, July 30 at 10am ET/9am CT, Fallout 76 will be going offline on all platforms to apply an update.”

For UK fans, this means Fallout 76 will be taken offline at 3pm BST. Based on previous downtime schedules, the game is likely to be offline for around three hours, resulting in no Fallout 76 until around 6pm BST.

Daily Express will keep this article updated with all the latest developments, so keep checking back to discover when Fallout 76 will be back online.

In a follow-up tweet, Bethesda Support also gave fans a brief look at the early patch notes for today’s Fallout 76 update.

Asked (perhaps sarcastically) if the update will bring fixes to the map and stability improvements on all platforms, Bethesda replied: “Hello! Yes it will.”

“This update will bring fixes to the map and some stability improvements to all platforms,” reads a separate tweet.

Full patch notes will be unveiled once the server downtime period comes to an end, so check back later for the full list of changes.

The previous update introduced the Holiday Scorched event, complete with a host of new rewards.

This includes a giant Red Brontosaurus statue, a Plastiform Snowman and the Plastiform Vault Boy Elf.
