Gordon Ramsay’s Olympics-themed burger sparks outrage

Gordon Ramsay’s Olympics-themed ‘Frenchie Burger’ has sparked a fierce debate among foodies. The culinary creation, designed to celebrate the upcoming Paris 2024 Games, is now available across the UK at the chef’s Street Burger restaurants.

Ramsay took to Instagram to showcase his latest offering, exclaiming: “Celebrate the Olympics with my new Frenchie burger at @gordonramsaystreetburger!! With Roquefort cheese, grilled red onions, two smashed patties, garlic aioli and shoestring fries!!”.

The £18 burger has certainly stirred up opinions, with some customers finding fault with its towering structure. One disgruntled diner remarked: “Burgers should be wider, not taller. How the f*** are you supposed to eat that? ” Another expressed their disapproval, commenting: “That burger is wrong on so many levels.”

A third chimed in with a negative review: “Not gonna lie. I tried this two days ago. It was the worst burger I have ever had.”

However, not all feedback was critical; some patrons were eager to try the French-inspired dish. A hungry fan joked: “Could eat one now..I’m starving..”

An enthusiastic follower confessed: “I’m in love… with the burger. All my favourite components.”

Another added their praise: “Ooohh looks delicious”.

This isn’t the first time Ramsay’s burgers have caused a stir. His Next Level Burger, featuring a double beef patty, American cheese, onion, and Sriracha mayonnaise, also priced at £18, previously received mixed reactions. However, those who sampled it reported that the sauces and juice were left oozing out the sides, and the cheese on top made it challenging to consume.
