Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “didn’t realise” what a significant advantage they had before they quit their roles as senior royals, a royal expert claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s potential to appeal to younger demographics and safeguard the monarchy’s appeal was much discussed before their exit.
Royal commentator Bonnie Brownlee argued they could have achieved great success within the institution due to this unique aspect. A former pal of the Duke had previously claimed the coupled had “frittered away their reputations” to earn money.
Speaking to True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat, Ms Brownlee said: “Meghan could have been extremely helpful (to the Royal Family), especially in the Commonwealth… there are a lot of millennials around the world in the Commonwealth nations.
“I think Harry and Meghan would have been highly successful, and sometimes I think they didn’t realise how powerful they already were before they moved to Los Angeles. They could have brought a great deal of openness, fairness and change.”
