Transfer roundup: West Ham close on Füllkrug and sign winger Summerville | West Ham United

Borussia Dortmund have allowed West Ham target Niclas Füllkrug to leave their pre-season training camp for talks with an unnamed club.

The 31-year-old Germany international has been linked with a move to the London Stadium this summer as new boss Julen Lopetegui looks for a new striker. And Füllkrug appears to have moved a step closer to a switch to England after departing Dortmund’s Switzerland base.

A Dortmund post on X read: “Niclas Füllkrug has left training camp in Switzerland on Saturday morning. Borussia Dortmund have allowed the striker to leave for talks with another club.” Füllkrug scored 12 goals in 29 Bundesliga games last season and represented his country at Euro 2024.

West Ham have completed the signing of Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville for a reported £25m initial fee that could rise to £34m with add-ons. The 22-year-old winger, who was last season’s Championship player of the year, has agreed a five-year deal, with an option to extend by a further year.

“I’m very happy and I can’t wait to get started. It’s the perfect next step for my career. West Ham United is a huge club, with lots of ambition and great players, so I’m really excited to be here and to get going,” Summerville said.

“I always try to follow my heart, and I had the feeling that this is the best place for me to continue developing as a player, and to push my potential as much as possible,” the Dutchman added. “I spoke to the head coach (Lopetegui) and he convinced me that I could make an impact, and help achieve success in the new season.”

Summerville scored 25 goals in 89 appearances in total for Leeds after joining from Feyenoord in September 2020. He joins Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme and backup keeper Wes Foderingham as new recruits at the London Stadium this summer.

Fulham have completed the signing of defender Jorge Cuenca from Villarreal for an undisclosed fee, reportedly in the region of £6.7m. The Spanish centre-back has put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

“I’m really, really happy. I’m so proud to be here. I’m so happy to be here and to play for Fulham,” the 24-year-old said after sealing his Premier League move. “I prefer Fulham because of the city, the club, the historical stadium, and I want to play in the Premier League.”

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the arrival of Yan Couto on a season-long loan from Manchester City with a clause for a €30m (£25.6m) permanent deal next summer. City had initially given permission for the 22-year-old Brazilian right-back, who has spent time on loan at City’s partner club Girona, to train with Dortmund in Switzerland before the transfer was completed.

Couto told Dortmund’s official website: “It’s a dream come true for me. Borussia Dortmund is a special club. Every child in Brazil knows the greatness of this club, knows the fans and is fascinated by the Yellow Wall. I can’t wait to wear the BVB jersey for the first time and experience the power and emotions in this great stadium.”

Atlético Madrid announced two signings on Saturday, with the arrival of Spain centre-back Robin Le Normand finalised after a €30m fee was agreed with Real Sociedad. The La Liga side have also completed a €35m move for Villarreal striker Alexander Sørloth, who is set to replace Álvaro Morata as their starting centre-forward.
