MOD civil servant’s startling six word admission about UK Government UFO Probe | Weird | News

A Ministry of Defence civil servant has made a startling admission about the UK Government’s investigations into the UFO phenomena after being asked to comment on one of the country’s most intriguing cases ever.

A press officer for the MOD suggested a study by the British military into the potential existence of alien life from UFOs reportedly seen across the country, including by its pilots, was a waste of taxpayer’s cash, branding it ” an inappropriate use of defence resources.”

It dashes any hopes that British UFO truth seekers had that the MOD will re-open any further official probes into what UFOs are as happened in recent years in the USA with a series of congressional hearings about the fascinating subject after amazing footage from US Naval pilots was released by the Government.

The spokeswoman said: “In over 50 years, no sightings of extra-terrestrial intelligence, Unidentified Flying Objects and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena reported to us indicated the existence of any military threat to the United Kingdom.

“It remains more valuable to prioritise MOD resource towards other Defence-related activities.

“The UK keeps our national security posture under constant review and the UK is well-prepared to deal with threats within our airspace, with the RAF monitoring and policing UK airspace, defending the nation from any threats.

“We maintain an open and ongoing dialogue on a range of defence issues, including through the Five Eyes alliance.

“In 2009 the MOD UFO desk was closed because it served no defence purpose and was taking staff away from more valuable defence-related activities.

“There was no defence benefit in such investigations and therefore, it was deemed an inappropriate use of defence resources.”

The MOD issued the statement after it was asked to comment on claims that the 34-year-old mystery of the infamous Calvine UFO sighting had been solved.

UFO researcher Mark Christopher Lee said his investigations of an extensive UFO archive found it likely to be a top secret military aircraft as there had been multiple sightings of similar diamond-shaped “craft” across the UK near military bases.

The MOD refused to comment on this specific claim but issued the statement to quash any claims into had any interest in the subject which fascinates millions across the globe.
