The Fast Show ‘s return after 30 years – how many of these characters do you remember? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

The Fast Show is making a comeback after 30 years with a host of shows up until mid-April.

The stars of the hit 1990s comedy are currently on a UK tour to celebrate three decades since it started. Charlie Higson and Paul Whitehouse have joined forces again with Simon Day, John Thomson, Arabella Weir, and Mark Williams for a series of shows.

They share secrets from behind the scenes about how they made the programme and created all those funny characters and catchphrases. The theatre shows also see them perform some of their most famous sketches, monologues, and songs live on stage.

Fans get to see Ted and Ralph, Jesse, Swiss Toni, and many more favourites.

There will be clips from the show and a special tribute to Caroline Aherne, who was part of the team but sadly passed away. The Fast Show first appeared on BBC Two on September 27, 1994, and quickly became a much-loved comedy.

It ended in 1997 but came back for special episodes in 2000 and 2014. Higson said about the tour: “Taking the Fast Show out on tour is very much like making love to a beautiful woman.”

Whitehouse commented: “I’m afraid I was very drunk.”

The tour started in Stoke-on-Trent on March 18 and ends at London’s Adelphi Theatre on April 14. Tickets for An Evening With The Fast Show will be available from January 26 at 10am on TheFastShow.
