Remove grease from oven glass with 1 ‘fantastic’ ingredient

Pointing out that his oven does get a lot of use, the cook admitted that it can get “rather dirty”.

“It’s been a few months since I have cleaned it,” he said, sheepishly. “But, let’s be honest, we’ve all been in that situation.”

Thankfully, his homemade paste is “fantastic” because it can lift the grease and grime without much effort – the perfect cleaning hack.

“This cleaning solution is incredibly simple [to make],” the chef promised, adding that there’s only one kitchen item needed that should be mixed with water.

“The best thing is, there is no harsh chemicals whatsoever,” he added, revealing the homemade paste to be baking soda and water.

“We’re going to use a quarter cup of baking soda,” he instructed. “And then we’re just going to add a little bit of water at a time.”

By stirring the baking soda and water together, you will create a “thick paste” that is then applied onto the oven glass with a sponge.

“This paste will work fantastic,” he said on the YouTube video. “All you have to do is lightly place [the paste] onto the glass.”

He added: “Rub it in a little bit, but you don’t have to overdo it; just make sure all the grease is completely covered.”

In order for the paste to work, it needs to be left on the oven grease for at least 30 minutes.

Then using a damp sponge – on the more brittle side – all anyone needs to do is wipe away the paste.

While wiping away the paste, the built-on oven grease will “rub off” – guaranteeing it will be “simple and easy”.

“Look at that glass,” he said. “It is almost near perfection.” Even better, it’s an “all-safe alternative” to chemical cleaners.
