American tries Greggs for first time – but her review is shocking

An American girl gave a British Greggs sausage roll a whirl, but found herself a little divided over the savoury treat.

The Peachy Family make lots of videos on TikTok about their UK adventures and, true to their exploratory nature, they decided to nibble at the famed offerings of Greggs, including the much-loved sausage roll.

Lina, Jules’ daughter, took a bite into the classic snack, finding it “really good”, but not quite up to par with her local village shop’s version, rating it a near perfect 9.5/10.

Venturing further into Greggs’ baked goods, Lina took a tastebud tour with the corned beef bake, which she found tasty but “too mushy”. The bacon and cheese wrap was another story, as this one snagged a full-blown 10/10 from Lina for its robust taste.

Similarly, the pizza offering scored high, garnering a solid 10/10, satisfying the American palate impressively.

Clocking over 9,000 views, the clip spurred fellow TikTokers into a frenzy of comments, with some Greggs insiders even agreeing with Lina’s top picks.

A Greggs staff member replied, saying: “Hi, I’m the guys from Greggs. Glad you enjoyed coming to the store and, may I say, I agree with your favourite. They’re mine as well.”

Another chimed in championing the vegan option: “Vegan sausage roll is better than the normal one.” Meanwhile, a third suggested: “Get the sausage, cheese and bean melt please.”

Meanwhile, a fourth chimed in with an insider tip, writing: “Greggs worker here. I recommend trying the glazed doughnuts. I also recommend trying the pepperoni pizza as it has a burst of flavour.”

While the public is hooked on following this family’s culinary journey across British eateries online, views on their reviews often differ. Nonetheless, they love watching their adventures and waiting to see what they’ll do next.

From supermarkets to budget stores – they’re always on the lookout for the next British experience. They’re keen to do as much as they can with their time on UK soil.
