Lando Norris splits with supermodel Margarida Corceiro after ‘many girlfriends’ comment | F1 | Sport

Lando Norris has split from Portuguese supermodel Maragarida Corceiro, just months after joking that he had ‘many girlfriends’ during a lie detector test for a Sky Sports F1 segment.

The pair spent over 12 months together, and during that time they were spotted traversing the streets of Monaco in Norris’ classic Fiat Jolly and attending the Monte-Carlo Masters final between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud.

Corceiro, who previously dated Chelsea forward Joao Felix, even attended Grands Prix in support of the 24-year-old, who now finds himself in the midst of a title battle with Max Verstappen. Unfortunately, they have now parted ways following a mutual decision.

According to a report from The Sun, the pair are no longer together, with a source telling the news outlet: “Lando and Margarida had a fun time together and hung out a lot. But it wasn’t working out so they cooled off. He’s free and single and just wants to focus on his sport.”

Norris seemed to confirm this himself during an on-stage appearance at a fan zone at the Dutch Grand Prix. The Brit was asked whether or not he would get a dog in the future and responded: “If I do I need a girlfriend, and I don’t have one so…”

Earlier in the season, Norris took part in the iconic Sky Sports F1 lie detector test, hosted by Simon Lazenby. He was asked whether or not he had a girlfriend, to which he replied no. This was deemed to be truthful by Russ, the adjudicator, before the Brit was asked whether or not he had “many girlfriends”. The two-time Grand Prix winner replied “yes” with a giggle.

Norris could benefit from the lack of distractions in his personal life as the McLaren star looks to lead his team towards the Constructors’ Championship title while challenging Verstappen for a maiden Drivers’ Championship crown.

The Bristol-born racer dominated the Dutch GP after taking the lead from Verstappen on lap 18, opening up a 22-second lead at the front of the field, all while saving enough tyre life to punch in the fastest lap of the race on the final tour of the Zandvoort circuit.

McLaren’s star driver now trails Verstappen by 70 points with nine races remaining in 2024. Overturning that deficit would result in a historic feat, but if team-mate Oscar Piastri can help take points off Red Bull’s reigning champion then it is more than possible.
