Fitness coach’s method to enjoy chocolate spread while losing weight


A fitness coach found a way to indulge in Nutella without piling on the pounds, sporting an impressive 11lbs weight loss while still enjoying her favourite treat.

We all have our own indulgent foods that we can’t resist. For some, it’s a bag of crisps; for others, a dive into ice cream straight from the freezer, or perhaps a favourite packet of sweets or bar of chocolate is what does the trick.

YouTube sensation and fitness guru Bethany Dobson, who’s helped thousands transform their lives through health and fitness, confessed her unwavering love for chocolate spreads, admitting she simply can’t live without them.

Whether slathering it on toast or stirring it into porridge, she finds spreads are just the ticket for sprucing up bland dishes. Yet, Bethany points out that even a “tiny, little spoonful” can hold a whopping 100 calories.

Bethany, who boasts over 20,000 YouTube subscribers, warned: “If you think of eating something like this while you’re in a calorie deficit is going to help you keep your hunger levels down, you’re wrong.”

However, she promises a clever hack that allows the guilt-free enjoyment of sinfully sweet spreads like Nutella without wrecking your diet.

The fitness expert said: “The thing is I f***ing love Nutella and I’m not willing to give it up just to lose fat.”

She divulged her secret by measuring out five grams of Nutella, placing it in a small bowl, then adding 20 grams of 0% fat Greek yogurt, and mixing them together. A tub of Nutella is priced at £3.45 from Tesco and Sainsbury’s while a tub of 0% fat Greek yogurt is priced at £1.10 at Tesco or £1.89 at Aldi.

The 23-year-old says this way you are able to enjoy a large amount of spread, that is packed with protein and is only 35 calories. “You’re saving yourself about 100 calories a day just from that little trick,” she added.

Bethany, who has 782,000 Instagram followers, explained one of the biggest errors she sees is people cutting out all of their favourite foods when they want to lose weight or cut down on certain foods.

She added: “Imagine if you did this to all your sauces that you use, you’d have so many more calories to eat. That’s why I’ve been able to loose 5kg in the space of eight weeks.”

The influencer also says you can use the same trick with savoury sauces too.
