Amazon may make your Fire TV Stick, Echo or Kindle feel inferior this month

It’s not unusual for the online retailer to show off its next generation of devices in September with the company often showcasing things soon after Apple.

For example, in 2023 the firm gave members of the media their first look at new products during an event at its campus in Washington DC.

During that launch, we saw the new Echo Hub uncovered along with Fire Tablets, Ring cameras and upgrades to the popular range of Premium Fire TV Sticks including a major reboot of the 4K Max.

Some products – such as the standard Echo, Echo Dot, Kindles and basic Fire Sticks – haven’t been updated for over a year so it would make sense for Amazon to announce some changes.

Right now there’s no official word on a launch event but if you are thinking of treating yourself to a Kindle, Echo or TV streaming box then you might want to consider holding off as something better could be coming soon.

Express.co.uk will keep watch for any news from Amazon and will update this article if we hear more.

One thing that we do know is Apple is about to revamp its lineup of smartphones. The US technology giant is holding a major launch event at its HQ in Cupertino on Monday, September 9.

Although the US tech giant is keeping its cards close to its chest we’re expecting new iPhone 16 models to be revealed along with updates to the Apple Watch and AirPods.

The latest iPhones could feature faster processors, a new “Capture” button which will help users snap photos more easily along with better battery life and faster charging.

Things kick off from 6pm BST on Monday and Express.co.uk will bring you all the news live as it happens.
