Steve McFadden, 65, is known for playing the notorious Phil Mitchell on EastEnders. The actor has been a series regular on the soap opera since 1990 and continues to reprise the role today.
The actor was born in Maida Vale, West London and had jobs labouring, carrot picking, plumbing and working at a builder’s merchant before becoming an actor.
Away from the screen, McFadden lives a quiet life in Falmouth, Cornwall and has had a house there since the 1990s.
The actor has often been seen in the discount store Trago Mills in Falmouth and Liskeard where he has been seen buying furniture and soft furnishings.
He has also been spotted in local nightclubs and pubs in Falmouth, according to CornwallLive.
In 2017, McFadden told the publication that Falmouth was his “second home”. If it wasn’t for EastEnders, the pretty town would be his “first choice”.
He said: “I get down as often as I can. It’s my second home, if it wasn’t for EastEnders it would be my first choice of residence, but because of the show I have to be in London more.”
The actor loves fishing in the area and the food, beer and local residents.
