How to make poached eggs fast: Ditch the boiling water with 5-minute air-fryer recipe

There is a hassle-free way to make perfectly poached eggs without the boiling water – and it works like magic.

This air-fryer method is a game-changer, allowing you to prepare delicious poached eggs with minimal fuss and clean-up.

This method ensures that your eggs cook evenly and maintain their shape without any wispy bits.

After cooking, gently remove the eggs using a rubber spatula or spoon to keep them from breaking.

Enjoy them on toast for a delicious start to your day or seasoned simply with salt and pepper to top a salad.

Ingredients

Two large eggs

Oil spray or ghee butter.

Salt and pepper to taste

Six Tablespoons hot water

Instructions

To prepare poached eggs in the air-fryer, crack an egg into a greased, air-fryer-safe dish filled with hot water. You can use ramekins for this.

Cook at 350°F (177°C) for five to seven minutes, depending on how runny you like your yolk.

After cooking, carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer.

Use a rubber spatula or spoon to gently release the eggs from the ramekins. If the eggs stick, run a knife around the edge.

Transfer the eggs to a plate, season with salt and pepper, and enjoy on toast or alongside your favourite breakfast dish.
