Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have “lost Hollywood” according to a PR expert who has issued a searing analysis of the pair.

The Sussexes have had a tough time with headlines – with some of the most recent calling out Meghan and Harry in the Hollywood Reporter saying “everyone’s terrified of Meghan” and that “they’re both poor decision-makers.”

But one PR expert says that the critical barrage is all due to the way they’ve created a negative narrative.

Mark Borkowski appeared on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive and told the publication’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson why he thought the pair were struggling with their coverage.

He said: “I think they probably have lost Hollywood.

“One thing about Hollywood is that it’s the home of corporate entertainment, the world of the business of show, and it’s a small community.”

Mark said that there is “only so far you can operate with a bleeding heart” and “constantly talking about your distance and the way the Royal Family has treated you.”

He added: “Sooner or later, that seemed to be the continual narrative that never changed.”

Meanwhile, the couple were notably absent from last week’s WME’s star-studded Emmy bash in Beverly Hills, California, according to the Mail. It is not known whether Harry and Meghan were not invited or declined to attend.

WME (William Morris Endeavor) is one of Hollywood’s leading talent agencies and includes Meghan as one of its clients.

In April last year, it was announced that Meghan had signed a representative deal with the talent agency, which stated that it would focus on “building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency and its broader ecosystem, including film and television production, brand partnerships, and more.”

The Mail claims that Hollywood insiders have suggested that the business is losing interest in the Montecito couple.

One senior figure said that Harry and Meghan “seem to be reaping the kind of ‘schadenfreude with extra venom’ at which the entertainment business excels”.

They added: “It was only a matter of time before the industry press started taking shots.

“It’s hard to find anyone with a good word to say for their film and television credibility.”
