Grease stains not only mark kitchen surfaces but many people don’t realise that they can ruin the efficiency of home appliances.
This vital kitchen gadget has filters, which are the fine mesh grates visible underneath the cooker hood, whose role is to vacuum up smoke and vapour generated while cooking.
However, neglecting these essential cooker hood filters means risking the efficiency of the extractor fan.
Having achieved “unbelievable” results when cleaning her extractor fan, Charlotte Kennedy took to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips and Tricks Facebook page to share what she used.
She wrote: “Just started to clean my extractor fan as I was bored I had to share as I love how well this has cleansed off.
“I used Elbow Grease for the first time with kitchen roll and I can’t explain how happy I am!
“It has cleaned the year’s worth of grease right off and given a shiny finish! It’s unbelievable! Defo recommend Elbow Grease it’s a kitchen essential for me! No going back.”
Elbow Grease can be picked up in stored like Robert Dyas for £2.09, from Amazon for £2.29 down from £4.30 or at Asda for £1.25.
Charlotte explained that she sprayed her extractor fan and filters with the Elbow Grease spray and left it to sit for five minutes before wiping it all away with kitchen towels.
Cleaning fans in the comments section also loved this product. Alice Connor said: “It’s the best. It works like magic on grease.”
Kayleigh Alice replied: “I sprayed Elbow Grease degreaser over mine and left for about five minutes then just used a sponge and they came up beautifully.
“Put mine in the dishwasher last time and whilst they came up very clean they are now tarnished.”
Stephanie Berry said: “Elbow Grease is insane. I spray it on overnight for better results then I wash them out with hot water comes right out and looks brand new.”
