Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has smashed records globally, raking in an astonishing $1 billion and solidifying her status as one of history’s most successful artists.
For Swifties who couldn’t snag concert tickets, there is good news: Swift clinched a deal with Disney+, ensuring the entire spectacle is viewable in top-notch quality on the service.
Yet now, another pop sensation, Olivia Rodrigo, is poised to have her tour streamed for fans as well.
Those who missed Rodrigo live are in luck, as her acclaimed GUTS World Tour is set to premiere on Netflix.
The Good 4 U singer’s extraordinary concert special, captured at LA’s Intuit Dome, will hit the streaming behemoth from October 29, offering devotees the chance to bask in the vibe of her packed-out arena tour from home, reports the Mirror.
In a heartfelt announcement, the Drivers Licence hitmaker enthused: “I am so excited to share the GUTS World Tour with my fans.
“For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house!
“And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!”
Following the launch of her sophomore album Guts, which garnered critical acclaim including a five-star review from NME, Rodrigo’s performance at London’s O2 arena also impressed, bagging a four-star write-up with the critic acknowledging: “It’s the songs that pick at the deepest wounds that resonate with tonight’s crowd.
“Vampire’s stunning build from a piano ballad to jaunty clap-back to the people who should know better is one of many howl-along moments.
“The raw regret of Drivers Licence brought her to this venue a few years ago, but now, it’s sung with both the lived experience and confidence that comes only from someone who’s moved on to even bigger and better things; there’s no denying that Rodrigo has certainly done that and will continue to do so.”
Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS World Tour concert special will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix from October 29.
