If your Galaxy phone is on this list check now for free Samsung upgrade

This latest operating system is all about Artifical Intelligence (AI) with many of the features currently found on the latest Samsung Galaxy S24 now coming to more phones in Samsung’s lineup.

Useful changes include Live Translate which offers real-time voice and text translation right on the device. That means you can call a restaurant in France and make a reservation without needing to speak a word of French. A new Interpreter mode also allows you to engage in spontaneous conversations with locals while travelling as the split-screen feature generates text translations for live conversations.

Another useful addition is Circle to Search which does exactly what it says on the tin. For example, simply circle Big Ben in a photo and you’ll get full details about this famous clock and exactly where it is.

Other extras include Note Assist which tidies up your scribblings and makes things more easy to read. There’s also the option to transcribe recordings into editable text which can save huge amounts.

Those who love snapping videos and photos on their devices will also be pleased to hear that Generative Edit is now coming to more phones. This lets you easily change photos, boost the image and move things around without needing a degree in Photoshop.

It’s also now possible to add slow-motion effects to any video even if it wasn’t shot in slo-mo mode.

“Samsung’s new One UI 6.1 update brings life-enhancing features to more Galaxy devices,” the company said.

It will begin being released from today, March 28 on the devices lists below.

Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Flip5, Z Fold5, Tab S9 (5G) series and Tab S9 (Wi-Fi.

If your phone is on that list head to the settings and check for the UI 6.1 update – it will make things a lot smarter.

“Our goal with Galaxy AI is not only to pioneer a new era of mobile AI, but also to empower users by making AI more accessible,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “This is only the beginning of Galaxy AI, as we plan to bring the experience to over 100 million Galaxy users within 2024 and continue to innovate ways to harness the unlimited possibilities of mobile AI.”
