Looking for cheaper broadband and much faster speeds? Sky might have the answer. The TV and telecoms giant announced a massive cost cut at the start of the month with users able to sign up and get ultrafast speeds at Sky’s “lowest ever” price. In fact, those taking out this plan will pay just £29 per month for rapid 500Mbps downloads.
It’s a very tempting deal but Sky confirmed to Express.co.uk, via an email, that the offer will close on October 23.
That means you only have a few days left to sign up and take advantage.
As a quick guide, those with 500Mbps speeds will be able to download full HD movies in around a minute – that’s over 5 times faster than the UK average.
This deal was announced along with confirmation that Sky has now implemented its so-called “One Touch Switch” process.
That means new customers simply tell Sky they’d like to join with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) then doing the rest – including telling the current supplier and sorting the changeover.
Speaking about the news, Amber Pine, Managing Director of Connectivity, Sky Broadband said: “We know switching broadband providers is a big decision for our customers, so we’re making it easier than ever.
“As the UK’s only major provider with a 24/7 broadband switching support service, we can help with round the clock questions about your Sky Broadband or even change your Full Fibre installation date in the early hours of the morning!”
Along with Sky, BT’s Plusnet has also announced some new deals including getting access to a speedy 900Mbps connection for just £37.99 per month.
Despite Plusnet being owned by BT, this is a deal that BT won’t match.
