Teenage dart prodigy Luke Littler has put his bountiful winnings to good use, investing in a five-bedroom mansion for himself and his family. Despite suffering the odd hiccup here and there, having notably lost to Andrew Gilding at the European Championship finals in Dortmund this week, sensation Littler has emerged as one of the leading lights of his sport.
The 17-year-old announced himself to the world at Alexandra Palace earlier this year, reaching the final of the World Darts Championship on debut. He has since racked up a steady fortune of winnings, £275,000 of which came from his PDC Premier League triumph.
Now, the Englishman has used his nearly £700,00 net worth to move him and his family into a £6,000-a-month Cheshire mansion – fitted with an indoor swimming pool and situated on ‘Millionaire’s Road’.
“This is a wonderful family home on one of the most sought-after roads in the region,” reads the estate agent’s description of the Warrington property.
Located in a quaint suburb of Littler’s hometown, Warrington, the home’s entrance is grand, boasting electric gates, ample parking space, and CCTV cameras.
Inside, an open-plan kitchen and dining area are accompanied by a stunning 36ft by 33ft indoor swimming pool – fitted with a projector, reclining chairs, and bi-fold doors onto a patio.
Parquet flooring leads up to five bedrooms and a four-piece en-suite bathroom with spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows. The description, as reported by the Daily Mail, describes the property as one “finished to an uncompromising standard, with intelligent design, impressive technology, top-of-the-range fixtures and fittings and superb leisure facilities.
“Fully renovated in recent years, the property has been carefully and cleverly redesigned to optimise and enhance space, creating a perfect balance of luxury finish and ease of living.
“There is a generous snug, with side access, to the left of the kitchen, while to the right sliding doors open to the large indoor swimming pool with lounge/gym space and cinema projector.
“A wall of bifold doors, opening onto the garden, creates an incredible indoor/outdoor entertaining space, while the multi-purpose utility/bar/changing room is the place for a post-swim shower.”
The living room, described as an “excellent entertaining space,” has a glass-doored cabinet, perfect for The Nuke’s ever-growing trophy haul.
The reigning Premier League and World Series of Darts champion helped his family swap their previous £180,000 semi-detached property for the mansion – that he will now call home as he gears up for more runs at major titles later in the year.
