Former Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic will be keeping a close eye on today’s match between West Ham and Manchester United.
Terzic is waiting in the wings for a new job after he resigned from his post as Dortmund manager following the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in June.
And both Man Utd and West Ham, where he previously served as Slaven Bilic’s assistant, are admirers of Terzic and informed him that he would be considered if they were to dismiss Erik ten Hag and Julen Lopetegui respectively, according to the Mirror.
Despite Lopetegui’s position being safe for now, a loss to the Red Devils could increase pressure on him, especially in the wake of last weekend’s 4-1 defeat at Tottenham.
West Ham’s poor form under Lopetegui has come after an ambitious £132.5million summer spending spree.
Meanwhile, INEOS are believed to have drawn together a list of potential managerial targets as they continue to consider Ten Hag’s future.
Sources suggest that AC Milan also rate Terzic, as current boss Paulo Fonseca, whose appointment was strongly opposed by the club’s ultras, has endured a turbulent start to his tenure at San Siro.
