Pierre Gasly has revealed that a fan once proposed to have a threesome with him and Ferrari star Charles Leclerc after sending the Formula One drivers each a letter through the post.
The Frenchman is close friends with Leclerc, with the pair growing up together from their karting days all the way to the F1 grid in France and beyond.
But the strength of their friendship was put to the test when an anonymous fan wrote to the pair asking them to form a ‘throuple’ – a relationship containing three people rather than two – with them.
Gasly bizarrely made the revelation during an interview with Sky Sports, where he was interviewed by two young fans who had quizzed him about his strangest interaction with a supporter.
“Once, we received a letter with Charles Leclerc, another race driver who is like my best friend in the paddock,” Gasly said. “And it was someone that wanted to… have some sort of relationship with both of us.
“[They said] ‘if you’re down for it, just wink at your qualifying interview on Sky Sports’. So I really made sure that both of my eyes were wide open!”
Gasly even revealed that they discussed the proposal after discovering the same letter had been sent to both of them: “We [Gasly and Leclerc] had a chat about it because we received the same letter. Sometimes fans take it very far!” he added.
Unfortunately for the person in question, Gasly and Leclerc are both involved in steady relationships.
The 28-year-old is currently dating Portuguese model Francisca ‘Kika’ Cerqueria Gomes, 21, after they met in 2022. Leclerc, meanwhile, went public with his partner Alexandra Saint Mleux in March 2023.
The French influencer, 22, is seven years junior to the Monegasque driver, 27, and the pair appear to be smitten whenever they are seen together around the paddock.
Fans first noticed Saint Mleux in a TikTok video of Leclerc from Paris Fashion Week and the couple attended a Wimbledon match together on Centre Court later that year.
It’s not the first time Gasly and Leclerc have been involved in a romantic setting. Despite not making any plans, the pair somehow randomly bumped into each other at a Taylor Swift concert in Italy after flying out following the British Grand Prix.
Gasly and Cerqueria Gomes had travelled to Milan to see Swift’s Eras Tour show at the San Siro when they found Leclerc and Saint Mleux in the crowd. The two couples took a snap on their social media after the strange coincidence and turned it into a double date.
