Tesco issues important message to customers before Christmas

Tesco has issued an important message to its customers before Christmas. The supermarket chain has told customers it is the last day to sign up for Delivery Saver.

Today (November 4) is the last chance for people to get priority Christmas delivery slots.

However, there is a simple hack which can give customers a start ahead and grab that important food slot.

All customers need to do is sign up for the Delivery Saver plan before 11:59pm tonight and secure early access to online slots for Christmas.

Tesco shoppers will then be able to get priority Christmas slots for tomorrow morning (November 5) when they open at 6am.

Slots then open for all other customers on November 12 at 6am, which is one week earlier than last year.

The popular supermarket chain is making it easier for customers to get their Christmas food and drink this year.

Tesco has introduced thousands of extra slots in the two weeks leading up to the big day and has also added 60 more delivery vans to its fleet.

But that’s not the only benefit of joining the Delivery Saver service. The subscription plan is designed to help reduce the cost of regular online grocery orders, with a range of plans running for six or 12 months with prices starting from £2.49 a month.

The plans mean any orders will be delivered to the home or available through the Click+Collect service at selected stores.

Clubcard vouchers can also be converted into reward tokens and can then be used as payment for a Delivery Saver subscription.

Tesco has also increased the capacity of its rapid delivery service, Whoosh, with thousands of extra slots available on Christmas Eve this year, perfect for those who have forgotten an item or have made last-minute plans.

Tom Denyard, managing director at Tesco Online, said: “As we help customers plan ahead for their Christmas shop this year, we want customers to know that time is running out to sign up for a Delivery Saver Anytime Plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings which go live tomorrow morning.

“We’re looking forward to helping customers across the UK pick up their family favourites or treat themselves to something special this festive season. We are also excited to be providing increased capacity with thousands of extra slots available in the fortnight leading up to Christmas Day.

“And there is no better time to sign up for a convenient Delivery Saver plan and benefit from festive priority slot bookings. Delivery Saver plans not only give you early access to slots this Christmas, but they can also save you an amazing £176 a year on delivery or collection fees.”
