The Met Police have launched an investigation after receiving a report on November 4 of the sexual assault of a young woman in south London.
The force said the incident was reported at around 4pm on Monday.
The alleged sexual assault took place at an alleyway into King George’s Park, in Wandsworth. The young woman was attacked by a man she had “met earlier”, police said.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “At approximately 4pm on Monday, November 4, police received a report of a sexual assault at an alleyway into King George’s Park.
“The victim, aged 20s, had been sexually assaulted by a male she met earlier.”
The woman, the police added, is being supported by specialist officers.
An arrest has been made, the spokesperson also said.
They said: “A crime scene remains in place. A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape. Enquiries are ongoing.”

King George’s Park runs between Southside in the north, to Earlsfield in the south, MyLondon reports.
