Four years after its original release, Genshin Impact is finally coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
The free-to-play adventure game has a November 20 release date on Xbox and a 3am GMT release time for fans living in the UK.
With a file size of approximately 100GB, it’s definitely worth downloading early to ensure you can start playing at launch. This is why we would recommend pre-loading.
While the game is free, there’s also a special pre-order bundle for Xbox owners, which costs £9.99. This can be purchased from the Xbox Store.
The limited edition Xbox pre-order bundle contains boatload of in-game bonuses and boosts, including Advanced Character EXP Material.
You also get the Acquaint Fate Wishing Item, 150,000 Mora currency, 15 Hero’s Wit Character EXP Material and 20 Mystic Enhancement Ore.
That’s on top of ten Rainbow Macarons for your character to eat when out adventuring.
According to Microsoft, the “items included in this bundle will be issued in-game after the game has officially launched”.
Players with a Game Pass Ultimate will receive additional in-game bundles after with each new update.
Speaking of updates, Genshin Impact launches alongside update 5.2, which adds new content and makes a variety of gameplay tweaks and changes.
For users on other consoles, Genshin Impact will be taken offline for maintenance as part of update 5.2. UK maintenance begins at 10pm GMT on November 19, which means no action for at least an hour.
As for new content, version 5.2 continues the Natlan archon quests, and also adds two new characters.
This includes five-star bow-user Chasca, as well as four-star Electro bow user Ororon.
There are also a host of new events, including Iktomi Spiritseeking Scrolls, Adventurer’s Trials: Metamorphosis, Exercise Surging Storm, Heated Battle Mode: Automatic Artistry, Claw Convoy and Ley Line Overflow.
That’s on top of the Tenebrous Papilla boss battle, not to mention Withering Purpurbloom and Glowing Hornshroom materials, and Ensnaring Gaze and Refractive Bud Monster Drops.
