Princess Charlotte reportedly has one favourite sport which she loves to do in her free time.
The nine-year-old princess undertook her first solo royal outing alongside parents Prince William and Princeess Kate at the Commonwealth Games in 2022 where she watched a swim meet.
She also got to see her favourite sport live.
Princess Charlotte loves gymnastics, she “spends most of her time upside-down, doing handstands and cartwheels,” her mum Kate once revealed.
It’s a very relatable favourite pasttime, as youngsters love to learn how to do forward rolls, cartwheels and handstands growing up.
On a visit to SportsAid House, Tim Lawler, chief executive of the organisation, said: “She really, really loved seeing the swimming, but she’s interested in the gymnastics, and while they’re trying lots of different sports at home, I understand, when I asked her about sport, she answered very easily and said, ‘It’s gymnastics that I like.’”
The young princess also watched the artistic gymnastics competition live, where she could be seen beaming with her hands in the air as she watched.
Mr Lawler added: “Like Kate, she also appeared engaged in the conversation by leaning forward towards the athletes as she listened to them speak.
“I did notice the Duke and Duchess, as we were trying to do, include Charlotte in the conversations.
“We were very mindful of that, and it was really very evident the Duke and Duchess were doing that, to, I suppose, include her and reassure her.”
Princess Charlotte isn’t the only sporty member of the royal family – her younger brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis also love sport.
Prince George enjoys tennis. The young royal made his Wimbledon debut alongside his parents in 2022 and quickly got caught up in the on-court action.
But his interest started long before that, as proud mum Kate revealed. Back in 2017 during a visit to the Lawn Tennis Association, Kate shared that George had started to learn how to play tennis.
At the time she asked LTA coach Sam Richardson for advice and he later said: “She says with George just being four (at the time) he wants to whack a ball, so she was asking what sort of stuff she should be doing. They will struggle at that age to hit a ball. She said he’s interested in it, but more in whacking the ball.”
