PC users are counting down to the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on Steam and Epic Games Store.
A direct sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the open-world RPG shifts the action away from Midgar and into the wider world.
After making a big splash on PS5, the game finally comes to Steam on January 23. According to the countdown clock, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a 2pm GMT UK release time.
Fans should certainly consider purchasing the game ahead of launch, because there’s a huge pre-order discount.
If you pick up the game early, then you can save a whopping 30% on the regular asking price.
This means you can nab Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for £45.49 instead of the usual price of £64.99.
In addition to the big discount, pre-order customers will also receive a selection of in-game bonus items.
This includes the Moogle Trio Summon Materia, as well as the Shinra bangle Mk. II and Midgar bangle Mk. II armour.
Interestingly (and somewhat surprisingly), Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is Steam Deck verified.
The fact that it works on Steam Deck lends weight to the rumours that Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth are also in development for Nintendo Switch 2.
If you want a more premium experience, then it’s worth noting that the PC version contains one or two visual upgrades.
Lighting has been improved for PC, while NVIDIA DLSS support means improved frame-rates and resolution.
Fans can also expect superior textures, not to mention multiple graphics presets for various devices.
The game is available as part of a double-pack with FF7 Remake, or in Deluxe form with multiple bonuses.
