Argos shoppers dash to grab cheap iPads – something better may come soon

If you’re current iPad is feeling a little past its best then now is a very good and bad time to invest in something new. Let’s start with why now is such a good time to rush out and buy one of Apple’s popular tablets. Stores including Argos, Currys and John Lewis have all slashed prices over the past few weeks with the top-rated 10th Gen model getting a generous discount which drops things by over £100.

Right now, you can head to online stores and pick up this device for just £379 – that’s a saving of £120 off the price Apple will charge you. As a quick reminder, this device gets a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, long battery life life, speedy charging and a powerful A14 Bionic processor.

There’s decent stereo speaker to boost your nightly boxset binge and it gets a single rear camera which can shoot video in 4K and offers a 5X zoom.

It also comes in a number of stunning colours including Yellow, Pink and Blue plus it is fully compatible with the latest Apple Pencil which means you can scribble on the screen without using your finger.

There are some other iPad bargains as well including the bigger 256GB storage model and version with a cellular connection getting big discounts.

So, those are some reasons to rush out and grab an iPad but beware. All signs point towards an impending launch of some all-new tablets from Apple and they could offer major upgrades over the current tablets.

Top Apple tipster Mark Gurman – who usually gets all things Apple correct – recently revealed that he thinks a launch could come as soon as May with it thought that the iPad Air and iPad Pro might be the models set for a reboot.

Faster M3 processors, better displays, longer battery life and quicker refilling could all be headline features along with improvements to accessosories such as the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.

What makes a release seem even more likely is that that Apple didn’t unveil any new iPads in 2023 which is highly unusual.
