Prince William’s 11p breakfast hack cuts cholesterol & removes toxins | Royal | News

Prince William’s dietary preferences often pique the public’s interst, as many wonder what it’s like to dine like a Royal. Interestingly, it seems that most people around the world begin their day in a similar fashion: with a glass of fruit juice.

According to The Royal Family Channel on YouTube, the future King typically accompanies his morning meal with a revitalising glass of apple juice. This is paired with some very basic staples, including two eggs, wholemeal toast with butter and a traditional cup of tea.

Fortunately for those seeking to follow the heir to the throne’s breakfast habits, this breakfast juice can be found in nearly every supermarket you visit, and it doesn’t break the bank either. Aldi offers a £1.09 carton containing a litre of the juice – equating to about 10 small glasses per pack, costing approximately 11p per drink.

It’s no surprise that the health-conscious Royal chooses this nutritious start to his day, apple juice is brimming with benefits that extend beyond its flavour. As apples are predominantly water-based, consuming their juice is an excellent way to hydrate.

Apple juice is 88 per cent water and is easy to consume if you’re prone to dehydration or generally feeling under the weather reports the Mirror.

Besides being a refreshing beverage, apple juice also provides internal benefits. For instance, apples and their juice contain compounds that may help slow down the process leading to heart disease.

However, a report by Healthline suggests that the majority of these beneficial compounds are found in the apple peel, with some still present even when juiced. One such compound is polyphenol, which may prevent LDL (bad cholesterol) from wreaking havoc in your bloodstream and arteries.

Elevated levels of LDL have been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, strokes, and heart attacks. High cholesterol often doesn’t show any symptoms, particularly in its early stages, earning it the moniker ‘silent killer’.

The only way to detect it is through a blood test. A study discovered that when healthy adults consumed 375ml of clear apple juice daily for six weeks, their LDL cholesterol was 20% more resistant compared to the beginning of the study.

Another research found similar benefits in women and the level of antioxidants in their blood after drinking apple juice. Other advantages of apple juice include potential protection against Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases due to its nutrient content.

It also contains fibre, aiding digestion and bowel regulation. Antioxidants in apple juice may help guard against age-related eye disorders.

It is also rich in malic acid, which can assist the liver in toxin removal. As apple juice is fibrous, it can keep you feeling satiated for longer, potentially aiding weight loss.

Furthermore, the antioxidants in apple juice may offer protection against cancer.

Experts have identified numerous advantages of apple juice, but it’s not without its drawbacks. Many scientists agree that consuming a raw apple is always the superior option as the juicing process can eliminate some of the benefits.

Furthermore, given the high sugar content in apple juice, it should be consumed sparingly to prevent potential weight gain. Additionally, it’s advisable to brush your teeth promptly after drinking fruit juice.

Experts have established a direct correlation between fruit juice consumption and tooth decay, likely due to the sugars in the juice eroding tooth enamel. The longer your teeth are exposed to sugar, the higher the risk of developing cavities.
