The Duchess of Edinburgh was spotted wearing some new pieces of jewellery last week during a visit to Camberley – with royal fans now convinced they are a sweet gift from Prince Edward.

Duchess Sophie attended the Royal Corps of Army Music dinner on January 23 – just three days after her milestone 60th birthday.

It was also Christmas just a few weeks ago, so fans think that Edward surprised Sophie with the elegant pieces for either Christmas or her birthday.

The royal stunned fans by sporting the matching Chopard 18kt Rose Gold Happy Diamonds Icons earrings, pendant, and bangle.

Taking to X, one fan wrote: “A look at HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh’s new jewellery. I agree with Lady Jane that this must be a birthday or Christmas gift from Handsome Hubby Edward.”

Eyeing up the beautiful pieces, another fan commented: “So delicate & elegant, much like the beautiful Duchess Sophie”.

Impressed by the prospect that Edward chose the pieces for his wife, another fan wrote: “Chopard Happy Diamonds set! Wow [heart-eyed emoji] Smashing! Lovely! Thanks for identifying it.”

A third commented: “Wow He [Edward] has great taste in jewellery.”

A fourth fan wrote: “Oh my goodness, those are beyond lovely! (as is she!).”

In honour of her birthday, royal fans were treated to some new portrait shots of the Duchess of Edinburgh last week.

Taken by photographer Christina Ebenezer, Sophie is captured in an array of outfits – with the main picture released by the Royal Family showing her beaming as she leans on a windowsill.

One picture was also kept back from release and was later, still on January 20, released by Christina herself. This shot showed Sophie making eye contact with the camera. She is seen holding with her hand over her mouth as if stifling a laugh or pondering a thought while leaning in a doorway.
