Most anticipated electric car of 2025 unveiled – and it isn’t Tesla

A spokesperson from Value My Car stressed accessibility appeared to be just as important for owners as price.

They said: “People are clearly looking for electric vehicles that fit both their budget and their lifestyle.

“What’s interesting is that demand isn’t just about price, but it’s about what an EV can offer in terms of practicality, range, and usability.

“More drivers are considering how and where they’ll charge their cars, and manufacturers need to step up by improving infrastructure and making EV ownership more accessible.”

The Dacia Bigster is a new sturdy SUV set to hit the UK market in Spring 2025.

The model is  the first Renault-powered model to gain access to the new HYBRID 155 powertrain, a step up from the HYBRID 140 range that’s currently available.

The hybrid model is fitted with a combined 107bhp petrol engine and two electric motors.

Dacia claims the Bigster can remain in all-electric driving mode up to 80% of the time in the city due to regenerative braking.

Inside, the Bigster is fitted with extra features such as seat support, dual-zone air conditioning and a panoramic sunroof.

If technology is your thing, the model is fitted with a detailed multimedia display, six speakers and an Arkamys 3D sound system.

Parking sensors, automatic wipers, hill start assist and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto functionality are also fitted.

A spacious boot capacity and a 4×4 powertrain also make this one of the most versatile SUVs on the new electric car market.

David Durand, Dacia design director, has previously said: “With All-New Bigster, we have stayed true to the intentions expressed in Bigster Concept.

“Bigster is the ultimate expression of Dacia’s values and is now our brand’s flagship vehicle.”
