Cleaning expert’s incredible 11p hack to remove fingerprints from stainless steel

A cleaning expert has shared an incredible 11p hack to remove fingerprints from stainless steel.

We’ve all been there – just minutes after cleaning your gleaming stainless steel appliances, hundreds of tiny fingerprints seem to have appeared everywhere.

But author Chantel Mila, who’s released her own cleaning book and cleaning product range, shared a cheapsecret to tackling the greasy marks with her 1.5 million followers on TikTok, where she’s known as Mama Mila.

In the short clip, she revealed the secret isn’t in her cleaning product range, but instead a budget bathroom cupboard staple.

Baby oil should remove any sign of fingerprints, by putting a dab of it on a soft cloth and buffing stainless steel appliances with it.

A 300ml bottle of baby oil is £1.65 at Boots, meaning it works out at just 11p per 20ml, which would be more than enough per use.

In the same video, Mila also shared that baking soda and lemon juice are a multitasking match, which can both get rid of rust and make your sink shine.

She also hid bags of epsom salt with dabs of essential oils inside pillows to help subtly fragrance her home.

Also for anyone with a rug that simply won’t stay down, she shared a genuis tip to put an ice cube on top of the curled edge as well as a heavy item, which will help make it flat again.
