Pokemon fans are counting down to the imminent Pokemon Presents video presentation, which includes a ton of announcements, updates and surprises.
Taking place on Pokemon Day, the Pokemon Presents conference has a February 27 air date on sites like YouTube and Twitch.
The event kicks off at 2pm GMT UK time, which is 3pm CET for fans watching in Europe, or 6am PT/ 9am ET for US viewers.
Daily Express will add the video stream to this article, so check back to watch the event live at 2pm GMT on February 27.
The news was announced by The Pokemon Company: “To celebrate the holiday, The Pokemon Company group is inviting Trainers around the world to tune in to a Pokemon Presents video presentation on Pokemon Day for exciting updates and announcements across the Pokemon franchise.
“The video presentation will be streamed at 2 pm GMT on February 27, 2025, on the official Pokemon YouTube and Twitch channels.”
In terms of what fans can expect, one thing that’s almost certain is a trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A.
Launching for the Nintendo Switch in 2025, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is an open-world action adventure that takes place in Lumiose City. With the game also potentially in development for Switch 2, there’s a chance we may see some next-gen gameplay footage.
According to various rumours and leaks, Pokemon Black and White remakes could also be announced for Nintendo Switch.
The popular Nintendo DS games have sold nearly 16 million units since 2011, which makes them prime for a remake or remaster.
Some fans are hoping for news on the next mainline Pokemon game, which would be the tenth generation.
Personally, however, this seems like the sort of announcement that could be saved for next year’s 30th anniversary event.
Elsewhere, fans are almost guaranteed to get a new Pokemon Go announcement, as well as the reveal of a new TCG pack.
That’s on top of new content coming to Pokemon Unite, as well as new updates for Pokemon Sleep.
More special events, bonuses and celebrations will take place outside of the Pokemon Presents conference.
“Trainers can celebrate their fandom with a variety of Pokemon Day-related offerings throughout February 2025, including experiences and merchandise featuring the fan-favourite Pokemon Eevee and its Evolutions, local Play!” The Pokemon Company explains.
“Trainers can join the conversation online with #PokemonDay and keep up with the latest news on the official Pokémon social media channels.”
Daily Express will update this article with all the latest announcements during the Pokemon Presents, so keep checking back for more information.
