Just hours after launching her new Netflix series “With Love, Meghan” to polarising views from critics and fans, the Duchess of Sussex has showed no signs of slowing down as she hinted at yet another potential new project on the horizon.
The former actress turned entrepreneur and philanthropist, took to social media on the day of her show’s release to share a photograph alongside Gloria Steinem, before revealing that she had “filmed something fun” today.
The 43 year old mum of two, debuted her new show mere hours before the photograph, but teased the new project online with a photograph that gave very little away about what the upcoming project may entail.
Sharing a video clip on Instagram, Meghan could be seen walking in a hallway from behind while dressed in a pair of wide-leg trousers and a simple white vest, before cryptically commenting: “Filmed something fun in the city today”
This was immediately followed by a snap alongside social activist and close friend Gloria, accented by the caption: “And a quick hug @gloriasteinam”
The unexpected friendship first started five years ago in 2020, when Meghan and husband Prince Harry first waved goodbye to the UK to start a new life in California. That same year, the pair bonded over their shared interest in championing women’s rights and equal voting rights ahead of that year’s Presidential election.
Steinem, who is best known for her role within the Women’s Liberation Movement that dominated the 1960s and 1970s, has often spoken highly of the Duchess, telling Access in 2020 that Meghan was “smart, authentic, funny, political” before cheekily claiming: “She came home to vote.”
Their friendship continued to blossom through 2020 as the pair collaborated together on the Makers Women channel, before realising they only lived a mere 45 minutes away from each other.
In the same post, Meghan also went on to share a photo and several messages with a long term supporter called Emily. “Full circle for Emily. I’m so happy for all The Tig supporter group followers. Emily has been a long-term follower of my page,”explained Meghan.
“They’ve been in contact for the first time since 2011 but met for the first time in 2016,” she added.
The 43-year-old also shared a brief glimpse of her upcoming product range when she revealed a photograph of her As Ever produce, including a Raspberry Spread – that fans have been itching to get their hands on.
In the final Instagram story shared by Meghan, the Duchess proudly showed off her new show with a snap of the prominent billboard advertising her latest Netflix effort in Times Square, New York.
While Meghan’s upcoming filming projects continue to remain a closely guarded secret, two projects we do know are on the horizon are of course the launch of As Ever, and the return of her Podcast series Archetypes.
The Duchess has also teased a return to blogging with a new email sent to her As Ever, subscribers that referenced her growth over the years and the many hats that she’s worn in her life.
Prior to marrying Prince Harry, Meghan had proudly run a lifestyle blog called The Tig, and appears to have returned to her blogging roots with the reinvention of her online presence.
Speaking in the email, Meghan wrote: “I am so happy to have you join me on this adventure. Some of you will remember receiving newsletters similar to this one back in 2014, when I founded The Tig,” Prince Harry’s wife began, referencing her now-retired lifestyle blog.
“Though much has changed since then, so much has stayed the same,” she continued. “I still dance in my kitchen, experiment with recipes, get my hands dirty in the garden, laugh with friends over way too many glasses of wine, and pivot from going out in a date night worthy dress to being cozy at home in sweats and a baseball cap.”
And it appears all of these things are set to make an appearance both in her Netflix show and her upcoming projects.
