Marvel Rivals developer NetEase is about to launch a new game mode that will be available for a limited time only.
Fresh off the back of the latest Marvel Rivals update, NetEase is about to introduce the Clone Rumble game mode.
Clone Rumble has a March 7 release date and a 9am GMT UK release time. The limited time game mode ends on March 10. A second Clone Rumble event kicks off the following weekend from March 14 until March 17, followed by a third Clone Rumble between March 21 and March 24.
As you can see from the gameplay trailer below, Clone Rumble sees players select from just two different characters per game.
It looks like it will be an extremely chaotic game mode, and without any sense of balance.
“Rivals, get ready for Clone Rumble – where strategy, teamwork, and controlled chaos take centre stage!” reads the official description.
“In this all-new mode, both teams will select one hero each, and every player must choose between these two heroes for the ultimate mirror showdown. Will you master your pick and outplay your clones?”
It’s all part of the Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event, which runs from March 7 until April 11.
The event gives users the ability to earn the exclusive Black Widow – Mrs. Barnes series costume rewards.
The launch of the new Marvel Rivals game mode comes just 24-hours after the release of the latest major game update.
According to the recent patch notes, the new update also makes various bug fixes and balance changes.
This includes improvements to the Human Torch’s Lord Proficiency avatar reward, as well as the addition of a voice enhancement setting for the microphone.
Elsewhere, developer NetEase fixed several terrain issues that could cause characters to become stuck or clip into strange areas, alongside solving problems with broken collisions and floating objects.
