How to remove limescale from shower screens fast without chemicals

Limescale shows up on shower screens as stubborn white stains that seem impossible to remove. If you haven’t been keeping up with cleaning, you can use various natural household products to deal with these marks. While many people are impressed by the results white vinegar, baking soda, and citric acid give, there is another alternative natural method, which one woman has dubbed “magic”.

Cleaning enthusiast Laura Sibley said that “if you hate cleaning your shower”, you need to use grease-proof paper. Laura Sibley took to her Instagram page @fromwifetolife to share a cleaning video on the “impressive” results she saw from using grease-proof paper to remove stubborn limescale stains from her shower screen in less than 15 seconds.

The caption of the video reads: “Cleaning the shower screen is my least favourite job, it’s so faffy and we’ve got ridiculously hard water so the water marks are endless!

“This simple (and cheap) hack makes water (and watermarks) slide right off like magic.

“Honestly, I’m seriously impressed, and every time I shower, I’m constantly impressed.”

For this cleaning tip, simply scrunch up a piece of grease-proof paper then rub it all over your shower screen and watch as the water and limescale stains “slide away”.

Baking paper is the recent household item that has become the newest must-have cleaning tool for removing stubborn hard water marks in bathrooms.

This wax paper is moisture-proof and is covered in paraffin wax, making it ideal for removing and repelling water.

On the other hand, baking paper is covered in silicon, which offers excellent heat resistance.

It’s the wax or silicone that leaves behind an invisible film that repels not only watermarks but also fingerprints. That’s why these products work exceptionally well in removing watermarks.

However, before folowing this tip, remove any soap scum from the surface first because the baking paper won’t work if there is built-up soap scum.
