Ryanair will offer more routes from this summer for passengers flying from the East Midlands and Scotland. The airline says it will operate 33 routes from the East Midlands and 97 routes from Scotland. But even better, the budget flight operator said it will now fly to three new destinations.

These exciting destinations include Krakow, Madeira and Malta for people flying from Scotland. Ryanair’s new announcement comes as part of its expansion plans in the UK. Those travelling from the East Midlands can take city breaks to Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Dublin, Milan and Rome. There is also the option to travel to Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Malta, Menorca, Rhodes and Tenerife.

Over summer 2025, there will be extra frequencies on flights to 40 destinations including Alicante, Lanzarote and Malaga.

Ryanair’s expansion plans aim to cater for the UK market, with growing demand for city and beach holidays.

Ryanair’s head of communications Jade Kirwan said: “Ryanair is pleased to announce our Summer 2025 schedule for East Midlands, with 33 exciting routes to choose from, including must-visit city break destinations, like Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Dublin, Milan, and Rome.

“Also included are top holiday hotspots, like Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Malta, Menorca, Rhodes and Tenerife, and all at the lowest fares in Europe.

“If that wasn’t enough, we’ve also added extra frequencies on several of our most popular routes for Summer 2025, like Alicante, Faro, and Malaga.”

If you are planning to take a flight this summer, this new announcement could mean you’ll have more choice and flexibility of where to travel from and too, along with more times available to fly.
