Domino’s launch state-of-the-art bike that safely navigates potholes

Domino’s has just revealed an innovative bike aptly dubbed the Pothole Pro Max, which boasts a state-of-the-art design capable of tackling even the most challenging potholes while keeping your pizza hot thanks to its integrated oven feature.

The pioneering pedal bike was rigorously tested on the notorious Westgate Road in Beckenham, infamous for its dreadful potholes. However, with its cutting-edge G-force suspension and shock absorbers, the bike managed the road with surprising ease.

Crucially, the pizzas emerged at optimal consumption temperature, thanks to the bike’s built-in oven – the Pizza Pod – keeping deliveries at a consistent 68C.

Andrew Scanlon from Domino’s expressed the company’s ongoing commitment to delivery innovation: “As the original delivery experts, we are always on the lookout for ways to innovate and push our deliveries to the next level, and we’re super excited to be putting this technology to the test in the UK.”

He added, reassuringly, “At the end of the day, there is nothing more important to us than making sure we continue to deliver piping hot pizza.”

It comes amidst a surge of pothole grievances within Britain, as residents face a collective £579 million bill for vehicle repairs caused by pothole damage in 2024 alone.

Throughout 2024, an astonishing daily average of 1,762 potholes were reported, leading to a staggering total of 643,318 across the whole year.

Coined as the future of delivery by bike, the Domino’s Pothole Pro Max keeps pizza orders piping hot and perfectly positioned when navigating the toughest roads.

Lastmonth, Domino’s launched its own perfume with Married At First Sight star Luke Debono as the face of the campaign. The limited-edition eau de toilette is inspired by its popular Pepperoni Passion pizza and boasts tantalising notes of spice, pepper and a warm, woody base.

Launched just in time for Valentine’s Day, the promotional images showed Luke spritzing his toned physique with the unique pizza-shaped bottle of Eau de Passion.

The former bodybuilder, known for his chiselled body and memorable one-liners on MAFS, certainly made a striking impression for the camera.
