It’s never been easier to carry around your whole library of books in your bag thanks to the popularity of e-readers and Amazon’s clever Kindle devices. If you are a bookworm who has struggled to fit all your hardback novels into your bag for holidays away or the commute, a Kindle is a great solution, but it doesn’t stop you from having to purchase books.
Though it’s great to be able to fill your Kindle with hundreds of titles, just like buying regular books, the costs can add up, particularly if you’ve just forked out for the Kindle itself. Thankfully we’ve spotted a great Amazon deal that can give you immediate access to millions of Kindle books absolutely free.
Right now, Amazon is running a promotion where you can sign up for two months of its Kindle Unlimited service absolutely free of charge. The service, which usually costs £9.49 per month, unlocks access to “over 1 million” books, as well as magazines and thousands of audiobooks.
Simply click this link to be taken to the offer page, where you can redeem the two month free offer and get reading straight away. While you can’t access every book in the Kindle Store, with more than a million on offer there’s bound to be something that takes your fancy, and will give you two months of reading without having to pay a penny for any book.
As Amazon points out, you don’t even need to own a Kindle device to use Kindle Unlimited, even though reading on one of its devices is the most convenient way to access Kindle books. You can also access Unlimited via the Kindle app for iPhone and Android, or via your computer’s browser. You do, of course, need an Amazon account.

One thing to bear in mind is that after the two month free period, Amazon will then start charging you £9.49 per month for Unlimited if you want your subscription to roll into the third month, but you can also cancel your subscription before this happens to avoid being charged.
JK Rowling’s entire Harry Potter series is available on Kindle Unlimited as well as access to top magazines such as Good Housekeeping, Grazia and Ideal Home.
Amazon recently updated its entire Kindle range with new devices that are better than ever. Our pick is the Kindle Paperwhite, which is the Goldilocks option thanks to a premium design, flush screen, month-long battery life and fast page turn performance, but you can also opt for the regular Kindle at £94.99 that offers most of the same features for less.
If you’re feeling indulgent, the Kindle Colorsoft is also available that adds a premium splash of colour to your e-books and magazines, which could be ideal if you want to take advantage of the Kindle Unlimited offer.
If you want a larger screen and the ability to write notes in your books as you read, or compose in your own digital notebooks, there is also the second-generation Kindle Scribe.
