Amazon’s Fire TV models offer great value for money, especially when there’s a sales event. Thanks to an early spring deal, these Fire TV models have tumbled in price – the cheapest they’ve been all year.
I speak from experience I’m a TV reviewer and I own two of these TVs (which I’ll talk about below), so trust me when I say you get great performance now at an unmissable price.

The biggest savings at the moment are on the more affordable models, the Fire TV 2-Series and the Fire TV 4-Series. Those TVs are great if you’re on a budget, with the 2-Series coming in 32 and 40-inch sizes. Note that the 2-Series models don’t support 4K quality. The 4-Series covers larger 43, 50 and 55-inch sizes and does support 4K, making it a great budget choice.
For a long time, 55-inches has been the size that people are going for, but more and more the trend is now shifting larger, with many choosing a 65-inch model. If you’re interested in a larger screen, then that’s where Amazon’s Omni models shine. You still get good value for money, but these TVs are a little more serious.
The Fire TV Omni Mini-LED is a great choice for a main TV, offering big screen viewing in great quality, with support for Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos – and it’s currently as its cheapest price ever, with the 65-inch model very tempting. If you’re not sold on the Fire TV models, Samsung has also cut the price on some of its TVs, including The Frame, its design-led TV, where you can save by trading in your old TV.
I have both the Fire TV Omni QLED and the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED in my home and both offer a lot for the money. If you’re interested in going large, then the Fire TV Omni Mini-LED is the model to go for. It’s a little more expensive, but it has more advanced display technology to give you a better viewing experience.
All Fire TVs offer the same user experience, giving you access to all the streaming services, with handy voice searching via Alexa on the remote. Because you’re using Alexa, you can also control smart home devices and ask questions about weather and recipes and get the results right there on your TV.
In addition to offering full streaming services, you can also get broadcast TV over the internet thanks to Freely support. That means you don’t need an aerial roof. You just need to connect it to the Wi-Fi in your home.
Amazon is planning a spring sale running from 25-31 March where we expect to see broad discounts across a full range of tech. That’s going to include Amazon’s devices, such as Echo and Kindle, but will likely cover a lot of other tech, too like headphones and smartwatches. So there may be more deals to come on Fire TV, or these prices might just roll over into the Spring Deal Days.
As highlighted above, Amazon’s devices offer quality streaming for good prices and the ability to sync up to multiple Amazon devices at home is certainly a winner. Although, its built-in Fire systems can have downsides including a slower performance if overloaded.
