Sarah Ferguson has taken to Instagram to share adorable throwback picture in honour of Princess Eugenie’s birthday today. Eugenie, who is celebrating her 35th birthday today, has been predicted to be holding “quiet” celebrations to mark her special day.

In a sweet post to her “beloved daughter” – the youngest of her two daughters with her ex-husband Prince Andrew – Sarah shared an adorable throwback of her walking along with her two daughters when they were children. Sarah also shared two other pictures – a more recent picture and a snap of a birthday cake for “Eugie Boogie”. The 65-year-old also posted an array of pictures to her Instagram story to mark her youngest daughter’s birthday.

Captioning the post, Sarah wrote: “Wishing a wonderful birthday to my beloved daughter, @princesseugenie! It has been a joy to watch you grow into such an extraordinary person, full of kindness, wisdom, and strength.

“Your generosity and warmth brighten the lives of so many, and I am endlessly proud of all that you do. With all my love on your special day. X.”

Eugenie is mum to Sarah’s two youngest grandsons, August, four, and Ernest, one. She is also an aunt to Princess Beatrice’s two daughters, three-year-old Sienna and two-month-old Athena.

Fans also took to the post to send birthday wishes to the royal. One fan wrote, “The pictures are beautiful and show mother and daughter!! Happy birthday, dear Princess Eugenie!!!”

Another fan wrote: “Happy Birthday dear Eugenie. It’s been a pleasure knowing you and watching you grow almost all of your life. Have a fabulous day. [red-heart emojis].”

A third commented: “Happy birthday to your beautiful princess Eugenie.”

Speaking of Eugenie’s birthday celebrations, former royal butler Paul Burrell said on behalf of Slingo: “I think she’ll have a very quiet celebration, I don’t think it’s going to be much of a loud bash.”
