Last week, we brought you the worst UK broadband providers via research released by Which?. Now the best Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been announced by the team at Uswitch and there are some pretty surprising results. A total of 10 gongs were recently handed out a glitzy event in London with Plusnet picking up three of the top prizes including National Broadband Provider of the Year, Best Broadband Provider for Customer Service and Best Value for Money Broadband Provider.
Incredibly, Plusnet beat its owner, BT, with that popular ISP not picking up a single award. Other winners included YouFibre for Regional Broadband Provider of the Year and Most Popular Broadband Provider went to Vodafone.
EE grabbed the Best Telecom Bundle Provider, and Best Telecoms Innovation went to Hyperoptic’s ‘Managed Wi-Fi’.
Despite coming bottom of the charts in the Which? report last week, Virgin Media had a better night with the ISP grabbing the award for Most Reliable Broadband Provider.
“These award wins demonstrate our hard work and continued commitment in ensuring our customers have a fast, reliable connection so they can do more of the things they love.” Christian Hindennach, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Media O2
