With 30 million sales, Hogwarts Legacy is one of the best-selling games of the decade, running neck and neck with heavy-hitters like Call of Duty Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War and Cyberpunk 2077. In fact, the only game released in the 2020s to sell more than Hogwarts Legacy is Animal Crossing New Horizons for Nintendo Switch.
And it looks like the Harry Potter spinoff is about to shift even more units, as publisher Warner Bros. slashes the price by 75% on PlayStation and Steam.
The Steam version is currently the cheapest, costing just £12.49 for the Standard Edition of the game. Available for the next week only, this spellbinding discount will come to an end on April 2.
The Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition is also available with a 75% discount. It contains a variety of bonus items to be used in-game, such as the Dark Arts Garrison Hat and Dark Arts Pack.
Finally, Steam users can take advantage of a discount on the Hogwarts Legacy/Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Deluxe Editions Bundle. In addition to Hogwarts Legacy and the aforementioned Dark Arts items, this bundle contains the separate Quidditch Champions game and bonuses. The bundle costs £23.33, which represents a saving of 72%.
Over on PlayStation, Hogwarts Legacy is reduced to £16.24 for the PS5 version and £14.99 for the PS4 edition.
Unfortunately, however, the discount doesn’t extend to the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Quidditch Champions bundle. On the plus side, PlayStation users have until April 9 to take advantage of the saving.
The PlayStation discount is actually part of a wider spring sale, which kicked off earlier this week.
As part of the sale, PS4 and PS5 users can save big on games like Elden Ring, Balder’s Gate 3, Resident Evil 4 Remake and even new releases such as Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
As for Hogwarts Legacy, the game is described as an open-world action role-playing game set in the famous wizarding school.
You’ll need to attend classes, battle other students, discover magical beasts and craft potions, all the while attempting to save the world.
