What Vanessa Trump thinks about Tiger Woods’ sex scandal where he fled house barefoot | Golf | Sport

The new partner of Tiger Woods seemingly isn’t fazed by the star’s previous infidelities and extramarital affairs. On Sunday, Woods ended weeks of speculation by publicly revealing his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of the current US President.

He took to social media to post a series of pictures of the pair together. The 15-time major champion also pleaded for privacy following the intense media scrutiny that followed the breakdown of his marriage to former wife Elin Nordegren. Woods, 49, was married to the Swedish model for five years when, in November 2009, rumours circulated about a relationship with New York City nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel.

That same week, reports of a volatile argument between Woods and Nordegren surfaced. The golfer infamously fled their house barefoot before driving away and crashing his black Cadillac Escalade car.

Woods later issued a statement taking responsibility for the incident and asking for the privacy and welfare of his family to be respected. However, after further revelations came to light, the former world No.1 admitted to undergoing rehab for sex addiction, having conducted a series of affairs.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Trump, 47, is unconcerned by his past misdemeanours. She was married to Donald Trump Jr for 13 years when she filed for an uncontested divorce in 2018, and the pair have five children together.

Despite the inevitable attention that has followed Woods’ announcement, a former employee believes the development is positive. Despite admitting his former boss had been reluctant to go public, he can now focus on the relationship without the pressure of keeping things discreet.

“At least this is a positive thing, just a new relationship,” he said. “I know that Tiger didn’t want to share the news. But now that he has, there has to be some relief. Now he can just go and live his life.”

Vanessa’s daughter, Kai, is also a competitive golfer and is set to attend the University of Miami next year to play at the collegiate level. Ironically, Woods and her grandfather recently at a special event at the White House to commemorate Black History month.
