Omaze Norfolk house winner revealed as former Miss Wales scoops £6m mansion | UK | News

A former Miss Wales finalist, Vicky Curtis-Cresswell, 38, who was living with her family and searching for a rental property, has won a £6 million house in the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw in Norfolk. This is the first home she has ever owned.

The New England-style coastal property, inspired by Cape Cod and Hamptons architecture, is the most valuable property ever offered in a UK prize draw.

It boasts a wrap-around balcony with panoramic views of the North Norfolk Coast, a heated swimming pool, and an all-weather astroturf tennis court.

The house comes mortgage-free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. Additionally, Vicky received a hefty £250,000 in cash to help her settle in.

She can choose to live in the house, rent it out for extra income, or sell it to become a cash multimillionaire. If she decides to keep the luxurious property, Omaze estimates that the £250,000 would allow her to comfortably maintain the house for nearly ten years.

The house also includes £165,000 worth of furnishings, ready for Vicky to enjoy from the day she receives the keys. If she chooses to rent it out, local estate agents estimate that the property could fetch a long-term rental value of £5,500 per month.

Vicky, who entered the Miss Wales competition in 2008 and won Most Driven Contestant, bought her winning entry for just £10.

Vicky, who currently resides with her husband Dale, 41, and their young daughter in her in-law’s three-bedroom house in Wales, was left stunned when she won a prize from Omaze.

She said: “When Omaze first called to tell me I’d won a prize, I didn’t dare dream it could be the house. We were all so excited, I asked my daughter if she thought we’d won the house, and she said yes, I should’ve known we’d won the Grand Prize there and then as she’s always right!

“When the Omaze film crew turned up outside our house, I started to think it might be the house, but it’s just too big a thing to even imagine.

“The neighbours were all chatting away on the street’s WhatsApp group, when they saw the cameras they joked that they thought it was probably Crime Watch! Then in a matter of seconds our lives changed forever and we became multi-millionaires.

“I was absolutely flabbergasted, my sister in-law burst out crying, it was a mixture of shock and pure joy. Like a lot of people, it’s fair to say times can be tough, we both work so hard but things can still feel stretched some months. Winning this house feels like an enormous weight has been lifted.”
